NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Starting Sunday, the Metro Transit Authority made some big changes to bus routes and the way you pay to ride.
Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards will no longer be accepted as payment on MTA buses beginning Sunday, March 29.
The schedules are changing because of service schedules on several routes. Changes are being made as the result of new Federal grants specifically designed to establish those new services.
To assist customers with the changes, MTA has published a Summary of Changes brochure that is available on the MTA Web site, on the buses and at Music City Central.
For more detailed information, customers should review the route schedules or call MTA Customer Care at (615) 862-5950 from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on weekdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays, and 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sundays. Customers also may access bus schedule information 24/7 through the Trip Tuner Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system by calling (615) 862-5950.
