MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - A bizarre DUI arrest in Murfreesboro has led to an emotional outburst.
Chaquetta Carneal was arrested Sunday night for DUI after police said she rammed her car through a fence at a day care center on Lascassas Pike. There were no injuries.
Carneal is 11-year-old Lakeisha White's aunt. Lakeisha was hit and killed last summer by Rutherford County Sheriff's Office detective, Ron Killings.
During the arrest, police say Carneal was combative. An incident report said "the arrestee continued to threaten to assault Officer Wortman and all deputies."
Carneal was booked for DUI and driving without a license.
