5-Year-Old Hit By Car, Flown To Vanderbilt

SUMMERTOWN, Tenn. - A 5-year old child was critically injured Friday morning after being hit by a car in Lawrence County.

Investigators said the young child was hit on Railroad Bed Pike in Summertown Thursday night, and he was then life-flighted to Vanderbilt.

Police believe the child darted out in front of the car.

No charges were expected to be filed against the driver.
