(AP) HUNTLAND, Tenn. - Law enforcement officers in south-central Tennessee captured two armed men sought overnight after the abduction of two men at a convenience store in north Alabama.
Franklin County chief deputy Brent Perry said the two men were caught without incident just after noon, about 5 miles from where they fled on foot after a short car chase Sunday in Huntland.
The search in Tennessee started before dark Sunday after the two men who were abducted just across the state line in Madison County, Ala., got away separately.
Perry said the abducted men suffered some minor bruises but were not seriously hurt.
WAFF-TV in Huntsville, Ala., reported that the abduction happened at a convenience store in the town of New Market.
The two men told investigators they did not know their abductors.
