FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Construction projects may delay school one school from opening its doors in Williamson County.
Summer will be over in a few weeks, and most schools will be back in session. Freedom Intermediate School in Franklin may have a difficult time getting ready for the students.
Construction and rehab projects have been running through the summer at the school for 5th and 6th graders. Projects include a new secure front entrance, administrative offices, and HVAC system.
Delays could prevent the school from opening on August 10. It may come down to the wire on whether kids will be in class or not.
"We're going to remain positive and trust that we're going to be ready to roll," said associate principal Kirk Alexander.
District administrators believe the project should be completed and classes will resume on schedule.
