Unexplained Power Outages Put Many Homes in the Dark

LIVINGSTON, Tenn.-  Several people on the Cumberland Plateau were without power Sunday night.

The problem started in the Livingston, Byrdstown, and Cookeville area around 4:30 Sunday afternoon.  Some of the power has been restored, but crews were still working to restore power to all customers Sunday evening.

The Upper Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation says it does not know what the problem is, but they do have crews working on it.
