TULSA, Okla. - Country music star Garth Brooks will be inducted into the Oklahoma State University Alumni Hall of Fame.

Brooks graduated from Oklahoma State 25 years ago, in 1984. Since then, he has achieved great success in country music, and has been certified by the Recording Industry Association of America as the top-selling solo artist in history with 128 million records sold.

Heisman Trophy winner Barry Sanders and former baseball player Robin Ventura will also be inducted into the Hall. The trio will serve as grand marshals for the university's homecoming parade in Stillwater, Oklahoma on October 17, when the Cowboys host Missouri in football.

On August 23, Brooks was honored in Nashville by Leadership Music as an industry trailblazer.
