TULLAHOMA, Tenn. - The body of a Coffee County minister has been found near Arnold Air Force Base. Investigators said the victim was murdered.
Officials said the scene was outside the secured area on the edge of the base in Tullahoma on Rifle Range Road.
Investigators were first told a man had been hit by a car, but when they arrived on the scene, they found George Kenney Jr. lying by his vehicle on the side of the road. He'd been shot twice.
He was form Manchester and worked as a construction worker and a local minister.
Carolyn Kenney and Johnathan Buckner, the victim's wife and step-son, became persons of interest shortly into the investigation.
Buckner confessed to the murder, and they have both been charged with first degree murder.
