CHARLOTTE, Tenn. - Dickson County Commissioners will meet again Monday night at a special meeting to try to come up with a budget solution.
Commissioners were originally supposed to have a budget on the books by July 1, but that got pushed back to October 1.
The deadline passed without any progress, and commissioners are set to vote Monday on a hefty property tax increase to balance the $2.2 million shortfall.
If a budget isn't passed soon, the Dickson County School board will close schools on October 23.
The meeting is set for 7 p.m. at the courthouse annex in Charlotte.
