KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - A 27-year-old teacher has turned herself into police after she was indicted on eight counts of statutory rape by an authority figure.
The teacher, Lindsey Seymour, is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old boy between June 2009 and September 2009.
NewsChannel 5 has exclusive video of the moment the teacher turned herself in to authorities in Fentress County.
Lindsey Seymour has worked at Alvin C. York Institute since 2004. It's one of only three public schools in Tennessee run by the state. She resigned after the allegations of an inappropriate relationship.
Seymour is scheduled to make her first court appearance on Nov. 9. She is free on a $25,000 bond.
