NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Some of Nashville's biggest names came out Tuesday night to help an organization that helps thousands of students across Middle Tennessee.
STARS Nashville took over the Country Music Hall of Fame to raise some much needed money. The group works with students in 75 schools across 11 Middle Tennessee counties.
STARS called on Vince Gill to get people in the door. Gill called on some of his friends to lend him a hand on stage. Gill said he always tries help out a good cause.
"I've lived here for 26 years and tried to never say no to anybody who needs some help. Every cause is worth while; everyone needs help now and then," said Gill.
Last year STARS helped nearly 140,000 students overcome social and emotional barriers that prevent them from learning.
