Columbia Police Searching For Clues In Homicide

COLUMBIA, Tenn. - Police in Columbia were investigating a homicide Tuesday morning after a body was found on the banks of the Duck River.

Investigators said fishermen found the body of Gary Houston Reese on Sunday afternoon, and an autopsy showed Reese suffered trauma to his body.

Police said Reese went fishing at the Duck River on Saturday.

Less than eight hours after Reese’s body was found, authorities found his abandoned truck in Williamson County.

Anyone who saw Reese’s pickup truck, a 2009 silver GMC Sierra, or knows anything about what happened should call Columbia police.
