Country music singer George Strait will star in another "Pure County" movie. (AP Photo)LOS ANGELES (AP) – George Strait is not just a pretty voice. He's a pretty face, too – and, he's putting it in another movie.
The Hollywood Reporter reports Strait will star in a follow-up to his 1992 film "Pure Country."
This second movie is called "A Pure Country Gift." The director, Chris Cain, says the new movie "isn't a sequel, per se."
"A Pure Country Gift" is about three angels who give the gift of a beautiful singing voice to a newborn girl. As she gets older she breaks some of the angels' rules and they take away her singing voice.
The screen play was written by Chris Cain and his son, Dean Cain, the actor who played Superman in the TV series, “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman” during the 1990s.
