ANTIOCH, Tenn. – Police said alcohol and speed appeared to be the contributing factors in a deadly, early morning crash on Franklin Limestone Road.
Miguel Crispin-Reyes, 19, was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier Monday with his cousin 21-year-old Ancelmo Crispin-Herrera riding in the front passenger seat.
Crispin-Reyes lost control of the vehicle. The car left the roadway, became airborne and then landed upside down at 5:45 a.m.
Crispin-Herrera died on the scene. He was pinned-in the vehicle.
Emergency crews transported Crispin-Reyes to Vanderbilt Medical Center in critical condition. He has now been listed in stable condition.
Fatal crash officers said they anticipate charging Crispin-Reyes with vehicular homicide once he is released from the hospital
