Convicted Killer's Appeal Postponed

Posted:

MT. JULIET, Tenn. - The woman convicted of killing two Wilson County law enforcement officers during a high speed chase was supposed to fight for an appeal Friday, but her court date was postponed.

Fallon Tallent was sentenced to life in prison in 2005 for the deaths of Mount Juliet Police Officer Jerry Mundy and Wilson County Sheriff's Deputy John Musice. The car she was driving collided with the two men while they were laying down spike strips on Interstate 40 in 2004.

Tallent was going to argue for a new trial on the grounds that she had ineffective counsel.
