NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Twilight fans packed and sold out movie theaters across Nashville for the much anticipated sequel, "New Moon."
The vampire love story has captured many readers and movie goers in the mid state, and hundreds of fans made the midnight showing Thursday at Regal Hollywood 27 on Thompson Lane in Nashville.
Ashley Johnson, a self proclaimed Twilight junkie, said she purchased her tickets a month ago.
"We love the books. We love the movies, so we just wanted to come out and show our support," Johnson said.
The movie is expected to gross at least $90 million in it's first weekend.
Fandango, a movie ticketing Web site, reported "New Moon" surpassed presale tickets to reigning 2005 champ, "Star Wars Episode III, Revenge of the Sith."
The much-anticipated second telling of the "Twilight" series delves further into the romance between the story's two main characters, Bella and Edward.
Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella, and other "New Moon" stars attended a charity screening in Tennessee.
