Two Semis Crash, Closing Vietnam Veterans Boulevard

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. Two semis crashed Monday around 5:20 a.m. at mile marker 2, which is the Center Point exit, on Vietnam Veterans Boulevard.

The trailer of a BFI tractor trailer came loose, and then a Pepsi tractor trailer crashed into the empty cargo holder. Two other vehicles struck the loose trailer.

All eastbound lanes were closed, and westbound lanes were affected with rubbernecking delays. Police diverted eastbound traffic to alternative routes.

Tennessee Department of Transportation's Web site originally said the crash scene should be cleared by 7 a.m., but TDOT extended that time to 8 a.m.
