Recycling Services Available For Flooded Businesses

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Free recycling collection has been offered to Nashville businesses affected by flooding.

The service has been offered by EarthSavers for businesses in the downtown, MetroCenter and Hillsboro Village areas. Workers will pick up documents, paper and cardboard damaged by flood water Wednesday and Thursday.

To sign up for the free service, log onto and fill out the form to request services. Add the words "Flood Paper" in the comments section.

Someone from Earthsavers will contact your business to schedule a time for collection. Items for pick-up should be drained as much as possible and placed in a area where a large truck can gain access.

Someone should be on hand to help drivers load the truck.

Water-logged paper will be accepted, but content with mildew or mold must be discarded through the trash and cannot be recycled.
