Mom Arrested For Driving Drunk With Baby In Car

HERMITAGE, Tenn. - A mother was arrested after police said they found her driving drunk with her newborn baby unrestrained in the car.

Police pulled over Greta Newland near the 4400 block of Lebanon Pike Monday after officers noticed her driving slowly and swerving in and out of lanes.

Police said she admitted she had been drinking and they found an opened bottle of whiskey inside the car along with her 45-day-old baby in an unrestrained car seat in the back.

Newland was charged with DUI and child endangerment. She is in jail on a $77,000 bond.
