PUTNAM COUNTY, Tenn. - Putnam County's election might be officially certified but it's not over, at least in the eyes of one candidate for state senate.
Republican Gary Steakley, who was defeated by the incumbent, democratic Senator Charlotte Burks, has filed an official complaint with the state, contesting the election.
Burks beat Steakley by fewer than 200-votes.
One reason Steakley is challenging the results is because it was revealed two weeks ago some of Putnam County's voting machines had been tampered with.
