Grieving
the loss of a loved one is extremely difficult, especially for
children. Children grieve differently from adults, and it's important for
the people in their lives to recognize that and adapt accordingly. If the
grief gets to the point where a parent feels that help is needed, there is a
wonderful place they can get it. Each summer there are special camps in
the area open to children who are grieving the loss of a loved one and we'll
tell you all about this week on THE PLUS SIDE OF NASHVILLE. Then, many
people lack understanding of the special needs and requirements the deaf and
hard of hearing face in a hearing world. Strides are being made to bridge the
gap and better serve those with hearing loss. An organization that has been
doing just that for over 85 years is BRIDGES, formerly known as the League for
the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. They will soon be moving into their new
"deaf-friendly" facility so be sure to tune to learn more!

are you've heard of a local non-profit called The ARC of Tennessee.
Perhaps their office called to ask if you had any items you wanted to donate -
because they will gladly pick them up. So what does ARC stand for? Who is
The ARC? And what is their mission? This month on THE PLUS SIDE OF
NASHVILLE, we'll hear from Carrie Hobbs Guiden and Peggy Cooper who tell us all
about this great organization. Then, we take you to 16th century
medieval times! Each May the Tennessee Renaissance Festival takes place
at Castle Gwynn in Triune and we're going to give you a preview of this year's event,
including a visit from an troll, and some pirates! Be sure to tune in to learn
