Former Middle Tennessee school teacher, Bryan Farmer, was charged with rape Thursday following a third grand jury indictment.
Farmer was supposed to be in court regarding charges filed against him in September, but he soon learned he was in for even more trouble.
Not long after Bryan Farmer entered the courtroom, he was taken into custody again. It was the third grand jury indictment against him. He now faces 13 counts of sexual battery by an authority figure, and 5 counts of statutory rape.
The first indictment was handed down in May, when Farmer was taken into custody just as school let out at Sycamore High School.
All of the allegations against him stem from his career while teaching in Montgomery County.
He has been accused of having sex with three students while working at Northeast High School in Clarksville.
Two civil lawsuits have also been filed against Farmer.
He turned himself in after the second grand jury indictment in September.
The former school teacher walked into a Montgomery County courtroom through the public door, but was led out another after the arrest.
Farmer's attorney said he learned of the third grand jury indictment shortly before his client appeared in court.
Farmer's next court date was scheduled for December 13, 2006.
