Woman Released From Hospital After Domestic Violence Shooting

Danielle McDowell was released from Vanderbilt today, where she had been a patient since being shot by her boyfriend on Friday.

Metro Police Officer Danita Marsh remains in the hospital after she too was shot. Marsh has some bullet fragments in her spine which may lead to paralysis, but doctors were unsure of her specific prognosis.

Marsh was responding to a call about a domestic altercation when the two women were shot.

She is still in critical but stable condition.
