Titans Respond To Charges Against Pacman

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The news of charges out of Las Vegas against Adam "Pacman" Jones did not take long to reach the Tennessee Titans Wednesday afternoon.

Jones will face two felony charges in connection with the melee that preceded a shooting at a Vegas strip club. Word about the charges came at the conclusion of Titans training camp.

POLL: Will Adam "Pacman" Jones serve time for his Las Vegas charges?

Since Jones was drafted by the Titans in 2005 he has been questioned by police in ten separate incidents.

Head coach Jeff Fisher was unaware of the latest charges against Jones until NewsChannel 5 Sports Director Hope Hines questioned him following Wednesday's practice.

"Well, this is news to me, Hope. Again, as I said several days ago with the latest incident - you know - these are his issues. We've moved on, and we continue to move on," said Fisher. "There's a lot of uncertainty out there regarding the Vegas case, regarding the other cases. As far as I'm concerned this is no longer our business. These are his issues and he's got to deal with them. The commissioner has ruled and we've moved on."

"Like I've been saying the whole time, we just wish him the best of luck in his situation," said Titans linebacker Keith Bulluck. "I've been trying to talk to him, so I just keep doing what I've been doing."

Jones' teammates said they were tired of hearing about Pacman's off the field escapades and were doing their best to distance themselves from all things Pacman these days.

"It's not a matter of frustration; it's just a matter of being done with it. It's kind of beating a dead horse," said Bulluck.

The Las Vegas charges came just three days after police in Atlanta announced they were looking for Jones to question him about another strip club incident early Monday morning.

"My organization's sole focus is the 2007 season," said Tennessee Titans owner Bud Adams in a statement issued Wednesday. "Our efforts are concentrated on the players contributing to the goals we have set.  We will monitor developments regarding Adam Jones and will expect him to abide by the terms of his suspension as set forth by Commissioner Goodell.  We are moving forward as a team and do not expect to comment on any future matters concerning him until his suspension is completed."
