Two Alarm Fire Destroys Two Townhomes

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Early Wednesday morning a two alarm fire completely destroyed two townhomes and damaged a third one at Huntington Ridge Townhomes off of Old Hickory Boulevard.

Once arriving on the scene, due to the intensity of the fire and the closeness of the townhomes, the fire department quickly called in another crew for more manpower. Firefighters were then able to put out the fire, but not after the fire damaged three units.

As of late Wednesday morning, officials are not sure how the fire started, but they are focusing their investigation to the back deck of one of the townhomes. According to one witness, that is where she first spotted flames.

After seeing the flames that witness quickly alerted her neighbors and the authorities, and everyone got out OK.

The Red Cross had two units on the scene helping the residents who lost their homes.

It is believed that the third townhome that was not completely destroyed was vacant.
