Police Arrest Repeat Offender

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Metro police arrested a Nashville man for careless driving Monday morning.

Jarvis Pierce, 34, has been arrested 25 times for 50 offenses since 1992.

Police saw Jarvis driving erratically on Cleveland Street at North Fifth Street, according to a Metro police news release.

Police said when he refused to stop for officers he fled on foot and threw cocaine and Xanax on the ground.

After a brief chase, Pierce was taken into custody. He was charged with felony drug possession, evading arrest, and driving on a revoked license.

He is being held in lieu of $44,000 bond.

His arrest history includes convictions for felony drug possession, unlawful weapon possession, assault, theft, and evading arrest.
