NASHVILLE, Tenn. - New signs telling drivers which watersheds they're entering have appeared across the state.
Installation began in February.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation and Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation established the watershed signing program to increase public awareness and interest in the state's waterways.
More than 180 interstate and state route signs have been installed.
A number of other states including Alabama, Pennsylvania and Virginia have similar programs in place.
