MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Tuesday a former Rutherford County Sheriff's detective accused of a deadly accident that claimed the life of a young girl will be in court.

Ron Killings has been scheduled to be arraigned in Rutherford County.

Investigators said in July 2008, Killings hit and killed 11-year-old Lakeisha White on Bradyville Pike in Murfreesboro.

Witnesses accused Killings of disposing two liquor bottles after the crash, but the bottles weren't found until later.

Blood tests of Killings taken two hours after the crash revealed no alcohol.

Killings resigned from his position earlier in February after being indicted on charges of reckless homicide, giving false information to a police officer and tampering, destroying and fabricating evidence.
