When a local teenager allegedly hacked into Miley Cyrus' email account, it created quite the buzz.
But it turns out, Miley Cyrus may not have been his only target.
Of course, all the talk was about Cyrus -- especially after the hacker stole some revealing personal photos of the teen star and posted them on the Internet for the whole world to see.
But according to an FBI affidavit obtained by NewsChannel 5 Investigates, the hacker -- 19-year-old Josh Holly -- admitted it was all part of a scheme to generate those junk email messages that we all get every day.
Holly told an FBI agent that "he often used accounts belonging to celebrities because of the high volume of Internet traffic they attracted."
For his efforts, advertisers paid him -- get this -- more than $110,000 in a nine-month period -- November 2007 to July 2008.
The affidavit was written to secure a federal warrant to search computers that had been seized from his home last fall.

Holly -- who still runs a website under his alias "trainreq" -- hasn't yet been charged.
But on the Internet, he says the FBI questioned him about a lot more than just Miley Cyrus.
Now, he says, he might not have not have a future, might even go to prison over something that he calls "really, really stupid."
