Ron Killings
Lakeisha White
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Thanks to the Murfreesboro Daily News Journal, the dash cam video involved in responding to the hit and run death of 11-year-old Lakeisha White has now become public.
The video shows Murfreesboro Police officers first arriving on the scene after White was hit and killed in July 2008 allegedly by former Rutherford County Sgt. Ron Killings.
"Watch that show, watch that shoe right there. We've got debris that's...," said an officer arriving on the scene.

The officers also discussed who should handle the accident, Murfreesboro Police or the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Murfreesboro chose to handle the accident.
Since July, the investigation has taken many turns. After a number of alleged mishaps throughout the investigation, two members of Murfreesboro Police resigned from their posts a couple of months later.
Another big issue was when Murfreesboro police did not collect the liquor bottles witnesses said they saw Killings dump out of his car. The Daily News Journal said the police report makes no mention of the bottles and doesn't list Killings' name.
White's family has wanted the THP to investigate how the Murfreesboro Police Department handled the case.
As for Killings, he resigned from his position earlier in February after being indicted on charges of reckless homicide, giving false information to a police officer and tampering, destroying and fabricating evidence.
