19-Year-Old Dies In Afternoon Shooting

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Metro police are investigating a shooting in North Nashville where a 19-year-old woman was shot in the chest.

The victim, Jazma Jackson, was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center where she later died.

Officials said the woman was either shot near the black Chevrolet Impala or near a duplex on Highland Trace Drive.

The driver of that vehicle was not at the scene. Police believe she may have gone to the hospital with her friend.

There were no witnesses and no suspect descriptions available.
