Mother Forms Support Group For Would-be Parents At Fort Campbell

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- The grief and pain of losing a child is never forgotten, but Sharee Moore of Clarksville has experienced such loss three times.

Although the awful tragedy of losing two boys shortly after their birth and a stillborn daughter continues to be immensely difficult, Moore said it has indirectly made her stronger and able to reach out to others in similar situations.

Moore and Capt. David Trogdon, chaplain of Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, started the Parents Helping Parents Support Group to give parents who lost a child hope for the future.

While the group is open for anyone whose child has died, it is especially geared toward parents who suffered the loss of an infant because of miscarriage, stillbirth, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, premature birth or even murder.

Moore said she her message to other parents is "I've been there, and I've survived this. And so will you."
