Club Owner Threatened After Pacman Accusations

The owner of the Vegas strip club where Titans Cornerback Adam Pacman Jones was the night of a the triple shooting gave his perspective of what happened that night, and said his words have spurred death threats.

Jones was at the Minxx Gentleman's Club in Las Vegas on the morning of Feb. 19 when three people were shot, including one security guard who was paralyzed.

The owner, Robery Susnar, has publicly spoken out against Jones and said he caused a melee in the club, assaulted a dancer and threatened to kill a security guard.

Although Jones maintains he had nothing to do with the incident, Susnar claimed the shooter is a friend of Jones'.

Since the incident and several very public interviews, Susnar said he has gotten several threatening phone calls.

"It's funny that we're afraid of an NFL athlete. I guess these guys travel with trained assassins of some sort. We've received several death threats saying that they were going to come back and kill everyone who worked at the club if we didn't leave Pacman alone," Susnar said.

Police said they are still looking for the suspect and no arrests have been made.

Meanwhile, Jones is laying low in Atlanta spending time with family and getting advice from a high profile lawyer.

Jones is still just considered a witness in the case, but he's already armed himself with a lawyer who is well versed in celebrity crime.

Some legal experts said that's a good thing, because Jones may be in a lot more trouble in the future. He has already been in plenty of courtrooms since he donned a Titans jersey, but this time around he'll have a star attorney on his side.

"He's certainly worried about it because, this is a big stain on him," Aurora said.

Manny Arora's firm has represented several big athletes in big cases.  He admitted Pacman has had a checkered past, but he said those things have nothing to do with the triple shooting.

"I think if people just use their common sense and if any of the allegations are even remotely true, I don't think the police would have said, ‘Mr. Jones thanks for talking to us, we'll see you later,'" Arora said.

Arora dismissed all of the allegations, as only that. He said Pacman already gave one statement to police and is willing to cooperate.

However, if witness allegations of Pacman threatening to kill a security guard minutes before he was shot turn out to be true, Nashville lawyer Jim Todd said Pacman could face some hard time.

"If you share their intent, and you assist them in the crime, you're just as guilty as they are in the crime," Todd said.

Todd said the setting of the crime will influence the investigation.

"It didn't happen in front of a Belle Meade Kroger at 12:00 a.m. They're going to have to rely on witnesses that were drinking or doing whatever," Todd said.

Arora was confident the case ahead of him will be clear, similar to Jones' other eight cases.

"Sometimes when you're a big star, you're a target and people are looking to take advantage of you, and I want the police to come to that conclusion if that's the way they see it, and hopefully they will, and we'll just move on from it and he can get back to playing football and sort of get his life back," Aurora said.

If any of the allegations prove true, or if that alleged surveillance tape shows Jones making threats, Pacman could face three counts of attempted murder.

These are only allegations. Police said he is still just a witness.

The Titans have been tight lipped until a statement Friday.

At the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, a reporter asked the Titans general manager if Jones would be cut.

Mike Reinfeldt only said there was a potential for the situation to end in a cut. He also said, "We've spent a lot of time talking about this internally, and that is time we could have been talking about draft picks but we've spent time on it because it is a concern."

Coach Jeff Fisher talked about Jones' recent troubles as well.

"We have not been in contact with Adam. We have no information. There's been numerous instances, but once we're able to gather the facts on this one, we'll be able to be in a situation to address his future and those other types of things," Fisher said.
