Charlie Neese is right at home in Middle Tennessee and doing what he loves most: The weather...

Charlie grew up in rural Williamson County where his love for the weather surfaced. At the age of 9, he saw his first flash flood and from that point on, weather was in his blood.

After graduating from Fairview High School, Charlie went on to graduate from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Communications. Next, he earned his certification in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University.

Charlie started his broadcast career at WBBJ-TV in Jackson, TN. There, he not only worked on the weather, but also produced the 10:00 p.m. weeknight newscast. After four years in Jackson, he moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where he reported during the week and did weather on weekends. In 1995, Charlie went to work for KFVS-TV in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. While working at Cape Girardeau, Charlie enjoyed working with charitable organizations including the United Way, the Salvation Army, and Habitat for Humanity. In 1997, Charlie was honored to receive the "Outstanding Young Missourian Award" from the Missouri Jaycees.

Charlie is a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. He holds the NWA Broadcast Seal of Approval.

Charlie says he's excited to be back home in Nashville. "There's no place I would rather bring my wife, Eve, and raise my children, Gentry and Oharah," Charlie said. "This is a dream come true."

On his off days, he enjoys spending time with his family, storm chasing, running, and reading.
