BRENTWOOD, Tenn.- Currey Ingram Academy is a new school creating personalized education for kids with learning differences. The high school opened Sunday in Brentwood.

The new building is named after donors Jim and Jan Carell, who have two grandkids at the school. The high school program was launched in 2002. Students have gone to classes in temporary cottages.

"The environment simply causes kids to raise the bar and to achieve more. That's what it's all about: helping people prepare for life," said donor, Jim Carell.

Students from 26 states and at least three countries have made the move to Brentwood to go to Currey Ingram. Classes in the new building start Monday
