Runoff Election Day In Metro District 18

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A runoff election in Metro Council District 18 will take place Thursday.

The district is spread through much of the Belmont University and 12th Avenue South area.

The winner will fill the seat vacated by Keith Durbin, who stepped down earlier this year.

Stephanie Dodson and Kristine LaLonde received the majority of votes in a March special election, but neither candidate won the vote percentage required to win the seat.

District 18 polls open at 7 a.m. Thursday and will remain open until 7 p.m.
