HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. - The intersection of Vietnam Veterans Boulevard and New Shackle Island Road is now reopened.
The stretch of roadway closed just after 8 a.m. Friday for several hours, after a deadly crash that claimed one life.
Investigators said a 19-year-old Kimberly Hatley of Hendersonville was driving a Pontiac Grand Prix eastbound on Vietnam Veterans Blvd.
Hatley reportedly crossed the median into oncoming westbound traffic, striking a Toyota head on. She was treated and released from a Hendersonville hospital.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said the driver of the Toyota, 31-year-old Michael McRee of Gallatin died as a result of the crash.
A Volkswagen reportedly rear-ended the Toyota after the initial crash, according to investigators.
Investigators said they are looking into whether the driver of the Pontiac was impaired.
