Police Investigate Overnight Shooting In Madison

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Metro Police are investigating an overnight shooting that sent one man to the hospital.

It happened just after midnight Thursday at the Highland Ridge Apartments on Due West Avenue in Madison.

Neighbors called police after hearing gunshots and screaming.

When police arrived on the scene, officers found a male shot in the leg.

The victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police tell us they are looking for up to three suspects and are unsure of a motive.

The crash happened around 6:00 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 96 and Maple Lane. Emergency crews and police are on the scene, and several patients were being taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
