Police Investigate An Overnight Robbery Spree

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Investigators said they were searching for three men who may be behind a string of robberies that all happened in just a couple of hours.

Six people became targets of armed robbers in less than three hours overnight. There were three in Madison, two in North Nashville and one in East Nashville.

Investigators have been trying to figure out if all of the crimes are related.

The robbery in east Nashville happened on Neill Avenue and Mansfield Street. A man was sitting outside visiting with friends, when three armed men rushed up to him.

"I was just sitting here on the stoop just chillin' with my friend and they just pulled up, said, ‘set it out,' with guns in their hand," said robbery victim.

The three men forced him to empty his pockets and even stole his white Chevy Impala. This was the only robbery where a car was stolen, according to Metro police.

"I thought it was a joke at first, until they got closer, so I just stood up, turned around and put my hands up," said the victim.

The east Nashville victim, who did not want to show his face, said he had no choice but to comply with the robber's demands.

"If somebody comes at you with some guns out, don't try and fight them, just let them have whatever they're trying to get. It ain't worth losing your life," said the victim.

Metro detectives said they were still trying to figure out if all of the robberies were connected.
