Starlett Custer
Ashley RamseyNASHVILLE, Tenn. - The jury found an MTSU student guilty of a brutal attack on a fellow student. The attack stemmed from a fight over a parking space.
The jury deliberated for 4.5 hours to reach the verdict. They convicted Starlett Custer on lesser charges of reckless endangerment without the use of weapon and reckless aggravated assault.
The trial lasted three days, both women testified for hours. Both offered the jury different versions of what happened. Cutser said Ashley Ramsay started the fight, but Ramsay said Custer viciously attacked her.
Ramsay said she was grateful that a verdict had been reached and she could finally sleep at night.
Custer will be sentenced in September. She could get up to five years in jail.
