(AP) NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Titans, short-handed at linebacker because of injuries, have signed two more players. On Tuesday the team signed former Titan Rocky Boiman, who played last season with Kansas City.
He'll help provide depth at linebacker because of injuries to Josh Stamer, Stephen Tulloch and Colin Allred.
Meanwhile, the Titans also signed linebacker Tyson Smith and released quarterback Alex Mortensen and defensive back Jeremy Haynes.
Mortensen played briefly in the Hall of Fame Game against Buffalo Sunday night and had an interception returned for a touchdown.
Boiman, 29, a fourth-round pick by the Titans in 2002, played for Tennessee for four seasons before departing as a free agent. He ended up with the Indianapolis Colts and played on their championship team.
