NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Dozens of local fourth graders have to leave the charter school they have been attending since the beginning of the year and go to the schools they are zoned for.
The Metro school board decided that Global Academy is not chartered for teaching students other than kindergarten through third graders.
About 30 fourth graders enrolled at the school this year. School Administrators said they thought they had approval for fourth graders.
The students will get letters Wednesday informing them of the decision. No word on when they will have to leave the school.
