Posted:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -  A man accused of setting the fire that destroyed a trailer in East Nashville Sunday night was put behind bars.

Just after 11 p.m. Sunday, fire crews responded to a trailer at Ranchwood Mobile Home Park on Dickerson Pike and found it fully engulfed. The people who live inside were able to make it out safely and move a tractor trailer that was parked in front. The mobile home suffered major damage.

Investigators said John Leonard Ivey was seen running from the trailer at the Ranchwood Mobile Home Park on Dickerson Pike just after the fire started. Police said the suspect had made previous threats that he was going to burn down the home.

Police charged Ivey with aggravated arson.
