William AngelPULASKI, Tenn. - Police released the name of the second suspect in the Giles County triple homicide.
NewsChannel 5 learned on Saturday that a second suspect would be charged with the murder of Desere Thornton and her two sons, Jerrod and Anthony.
Additional Suspect to Face Charges in Giles County Murder
Wednesday that name was released. Police confirmed that the second suspect is 18-year-old Matthew Wood.
As earlier reported, Wood is in critical condition at the burn unit at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He is expected to be arrested on three counts of first degree murder in the near future.
Police have already arrested 18-year-old William Angel. Angel, who confessed to killing the family, will have a preliminary hearing in December.
High School Student Confesses To Triple Homicide
The three bodies were found inside the rubble of their burned out home in Pulaski early Friday morning.
Police said additional charges could be filed against the teens, and prosecutors were considering seeking the death penalty if they are convicted.
