(AP) DINWIDDIE, Va.- Family members of Miley Cyrus's bus driver are revealing details about what happened leading up to the deadly crash involving Miley Cyrus's tour bus.

The bus driver's family says he suffered a heart attack, and died before the bus crashed Friday on I-85 just south of Richmond, Virginia. Police said 53-year-old William Douglas of Austin, Texas, died at the scene.

Cyrus was not on the bus when it wrecked, but nine members of her production lighting crew were. They were able to escape through the front windshield of the bus.

Marty Zilio of Canada was injured in the crash and treated at a local hospital. He's a member of Cyrus's production crew.

The Cyrus family said on her Web site that they're "deeply saddened by the loss of Bill 'Uncle Bill' Douglas," and that he'll be missed.
