WHITE MILLS, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky State Police say the body of a woman was found near her central Kentucky home and she had sustained dog-related wounds.
But Deputy Hardin County Coroner John Clemens says it is premature to discuss the cause of death of 53-year-old Karen Gillespie, a retired librarian whose body was found Wednesday.
The News-Enterprise reports an autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
Hardin County Animal Control removed a dog from the property adjacent to where Gillespie was found.
Stephen Gillespie said his wife had gone in search of the remnants of a one-room school house, which she planned to photograph.
When she failed to return home, he reported her missing Tuesday evening and search crews worked through the night.
