NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Even with the economy slowly recovering, shoppers were still pretty cautious with their money on this Black Friday.
About one in three Americans took advantage of price cuts, but the response wasn't what retailers had hoped for. Researchers say shoppers spent $10.5 billion Friday, only slightly more than last year.
Flat screen television sets and computers were the biggest money makers. Experts also point to an increase in online shopping as one reason for the lower-than-expected-turnout in stores.
Shoppers may also be able to find some great deals online with Cyber Monday.
