PARSONS, TENN.--Daylight gave people in Parsons a good look at the tornado damage to their homes after Saturday afternoon's destructive tornado.

"There's tree in that bedroom now," said Brandi Doyle, pointing to her 2-year-old son's room in their Brodies Landing trailer. "If we were here, it probably would've killed us, you know. I'm glad that we wasn't here because this right here is something I would never want to go through again in my life."

Doyle, like many other Brodies Landing families, stayed in the Deerfield Inn Saturday evening. She said the Red Cross provided her family with $400 and two nights' stay, but she's worried about where to go on Monday.

"I don't have a home no more. My kid don't have a bed to sleep in, and I'm just lost. I don't know what we're going to do," said a tearful Doyle. "Somebody's got to help. I can't afford to do anything else. I don't know what to do."

Meanwhile, volunteers continued to drive bulldozers, tractors and chainsaws through debris in order to salvage homes, or at least uncover them.

"I have never been through anything like this. Never," said Barbara Phillips, who had a fallen tree across her rooftop.
