Child Drowns In Swimming Pool In Murfreesboro

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – A child in Murfreesboro has drowned in a family's swimming pool.

It happened around 7 p.m. Friday on Briarbend Drive. Officials responded after the 20-month-old fell into a family's above ground swimming pool. The child was taken to the hospital, but didn't survive.

The investigation is ongoing.
