
Giles County
The Giles County Sheriff's Office found a large pot-growing operation. Deputies found an indoor grow area in Campbellsville, just off Highway 166 North. Authorities found more than 300 marijuana plants and 50 pounds - all ready to be sold. Authorities are looking into the possibility that there are other locations in this operation.
Montgomery County
A 6-year-old boy is recovering after getting hit in a drive-by shooting. Six shots were fired from a passing car at a house Thursday afternoon. One hit a 6-year-old boy playing in the yard. The bullet hit his arm. There were several witnesses in the area, but so far, no one is cooperating with police.
Maury County
Three Cox Middle School students have been hospitalized after they had a "bad reaction" to a prescription medication a classmate brought to school. A sixth-grade student brought the unidentified medication to the classroom. The students are expected to recover.
Henry County
The 54th annual World's Biggest Fish Fry is underway in Paris, Tenn. A large parade wound its way through town, led by the Anheuser-Busch Clydesdales. Afterwards, people lined up to eat fried catfish. The crew from Sky5 handed out goodies while meeting and greeting the crowd. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday.
